Scotland’s finest Twin Atlantic are back and on a mission for global domination with their new album ‘Great Divide’.
Three years and 300 gigs on from the 100,000 selling debut ‘Free’, Twin Atlantic are ready for the big time and with their new album ‘Great Divide’ and its 12 stadium sized anthems, you can see why.
Produced by Jacknife Lee (U2,REM), and longtime collaborator Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters), ‘Great Divide’ bristles with energy from start to finish. Highlights include the heartfelt opener, ‘The Ones That I Love’, the bewitching ‘Brothers And Sisters’, the pulsating first single ‘Heart and Soul’ and the haunting ‘Oceans’.
Recorded during months of festival performances and a sold out tour, the album reflects the challenges of being on the road and the thrill of performing to tens of thousands of fans each night. Anyone who has seen the band live will recognise the passion the group incite from their fans, and this has clearly influenced the record.
“90% of Great Divide was written in the back of the tour bus,” says lead singer Sam McTrusty. “Our adrenaline was through the roof because, for the first time, thousands of people had come to see us. You can’t hear 10,000 people singing a chorus back at you and not be changed by it.’
